Aidan, lover of perennial plants with elongated woody stems and flicker of slender organs of manipulation.

He loves trees. He flicks his fingers.

Where there’s a tree, there’s Aidan. Standing right beside it, flicking his fingers.

Aidan is a beautiful 15-year-old nonspeaking teenager. He loves music (especially Rihanna’s), fries, car rides, and hugging trees. His brother Josiah is his best friend and he hoards blankets like they will be extinct one day.

Aidan was diagnosed with Autism when he was 17 months old. No speech forms from his mouth whatsoever and he communicates using an iPad with an AAC app. He is currently learning spelling to communicate.

While Aidan does not speak he is expressive in so many other ways. He talks through and with his hands. His eyes tell so much about what he is feeling and what he is thinking. There’s so much he can tell you, without telling you.

He loves to receive letters and notes from others, if you would like to send him a note, I just know Aidan would appreciate it so much.

Leave a note for Aidan!
